This salve can be rubbed onto a baby’s head before bedtime to help the child settle down and go to sleep.

You will need:

-1/2 ounce chamomile

-1/2 ounce lavender

-3/4 cup olive oil

-1/2 ounce beeswax

-15 drops lavender essential oil

Add the olive oil and the herbs to a small saucepan and heat on low. It should be warmed enough to melt the beeswax slowly.

Add beeswax and stir continuously until it is completely melted.

Remove the pan from the heat.

Pour the mixture into a measuring cup. Add the lavender oil to the mixture stirring quickly. Pour immediately onto small containers.

Place on a thin cotton kitchen towel over the jars/containers to cool overnight.

Cap in the morning.
