A hydrating recipe for when you need a replenishing and soothing any time of day boost!
1/2 teaspoon honey dissolved in room temp water
Nettle extract
Milky oats extract
Splash of citrus juice (fresh preferred but use what you have)
Mineral salt
Quality sparkling water (I make ours at home with good well water)
This drink is mineral rich, soothing, enzyme rich, hydrating, and nourishing. When we're burnt out or stressed, our body burns through mineral and nutrient stores much quicker. This drink is a nice little "top off" to add to your arsenal to help navigate and support through feelings of depletion or burn out. Remember, herbs are just part of the larger puzzle, not a panacea.
Nettle and oats are both nutritive as one of their many qualities, offering us unique spectrums and concentrations of trace minerals. When fresh and in their "milk stage", oat tops are considered
"trophorestorive" and can help to bring balance and relief to a frazzled or anxious nervous system state.
Make sure you use them fresh or an extract made with fresh tops to ensure you're getting this goodness.
The citrus juice, mineral salt, and raw honey bring their enzymatic, vitamin, and mineral rich powers to round out this beverage and really drive hydration home. If you don't do honey, try adding small batch maple syrup made in the old fashioned way, preferably NOT with reverse osmosis methods.
This really hits the spot after a long farm day, travel day, or any exhausting moment. I hope this is helpful and delicious for you too!
